Two years later during the 1973-1974 year, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (formerly Lou Alcindor), led the Bucks to a solid 59-23 season. Again, they readily charged through the playoffs. The Bucks first defeated the Los Angeles Lakers (4-1), and then the Chicago Bulls (4-0). However, the NBA Finals between the Bucks and The Boston Celtics was a real war. Jabbar scored his signature"skyhook" at the last buzzer during Game 6, forcing a Game 7. However, the Celtics prevailed 102-87.
